Fun Candy-Free Halloween Treat Ideas
Have you ever thought about passing out Candy-Free Halloween Treats?
With Halloween rapidly approaching it is time to think about what fun Halloween treats for kids you will have on hand. When that doorbell rings you will like to have plenty of spooky goodies to pass out to all of the little goblins and ghouls.
Most of us grab a few bags of candy without putting much thought into it to give to all of the Halloween trick or treaters. After all Halloween candy is a super easy choice, it is everywhere you look before Halloween. It is also fairly inexpensive depending on what type you pass out. That does not mean candy is necessarily a good choice. Halloween has become a night of candy overload, with the whole goal of the night being to get as much candy as possible.
I know most kids do love to get that candy, but finding a special spooky little candy-free Halloween treat surprise hiding in the bottom of their bag can be quite fun too.
Why Would You Pass Out Candy-Free Halloween Treats?
The obvious answer to that question is all of the processed sugar in all of that candy. We all know that processed sugar is not healthy for our kids, but do you know it can actually make some kids sick? At the very least it turns some kids into a not so sweet energizer bunny that can go on and on and on and…..you get it.
You also have a lot more kids with nut allergy issues now. Even if you buy candy without nuts, a lot of it is processed in the same area as candy with nuts.
So What Are The Best Non-Candy Halloween Treat Ideas?
There are actually quite a few non-edible Halloween treats for kids. Think about all of the fun little things you can buy in the party favor section of the store. There is plenty of Halloween-themed party favors this time of year. If you buy these items in bulk, you are able to keep the cost down. Just look at the selection I have found here:

Halloween Stickers Are Great Candy-Free Halloween Treats
Halloween stickers and temporary Halloween tattoos are one of the most inexpensive non-candy Halloween treat available. Kids love them and you can find them just about anywhere. I love keeping different themed stickers on hand to give visiting kids any time of the year. What I like most about Halloween stickers as candy-free Halloween treats is that if I buy too many I am not tempted to eat all that is left. They will keep until next year.
Candy Free Halloween Treats are NOT just for Trick or Treating
Candy free Halloween treats are the perfect party favor for your kids Halloween party. They are also a nice way to keep visiting kids entertained. I like to use them in Halloween Countdown Calendars too.
We attend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party each year. Sometimes we wait quite a while in a ride line, on a show, or for the parade and fireworks. Kids get tired and a bit antsy. It is fun to bring along a small bag of non edible Halloween treats to pass out to any kids around us. It brings a smile every time. So you may want to keep some inexpensive non candy Halloween treats on hand just for fun.
